Parents can check their eligibility by visiting the district's website, where they also can apply for the program.
ROUND ROCK, TX -- Round Rock ISD officials on Tuesday rolled out their policy guidelines in providing free or reduced-priced meals for schoolchildren whose families meet certain criteria.
Those eligible must meet the district's Income Eligibility Guidelines for the 2016-17 school year, according to information found on the district's website. Application forms will be distributed to households, via the principal's office or can be secured via the district's website.
Parents can fill out the form out online throughout the school year. Those deemed ineligible (a calculation based on household income and family size) can appeal the decision by writing to the Director of Risk Management, 1311 Round Rock Avenue, Round Rock, TX 78681 or by calling (512) 464-5454.
