ROUND ROCK, TX --School district officials selected an architectural firm to design its sixth high school.
Members of the Round Rock ISD board of trustees approved the hiring of O’Connell Robertson/DLR Group to design the school. The vote came during the last regular meeting of trustees on April 21.
Trustees set aside $11 million for the school's construction through surplus funds from a 2008 bond package.

While the school will soon be on the drawing board, a location for the sixth high school is still being considered. The district is eyeing two pieces of real estate owned by the district as potential locations: A trace off Pearson Ranch Road and another parcel near the Texas A&M Health Science Center, officials said.
