Round Rock Schools Earn 'No Place For Hate' Designation

The label affirms students' pledge to fight bullying and promote tolerance.

ROUND ROCK, TX -- Nearly 30 Round Rock ISD schools have earned the distinction of being "No Place for Hate" campuses by the Anti-Defamation League, district officials announced Thursday.

The designation certifies the schools as teaching lessons of empowerment against bullying and the virtues of tolerance, school officials said. To earn the label, schools commit to creating a student-led coalition, signing the Resolution of Respect and hosting at least three anti-bias and diversity related activities throughout the year, officials said.

The Resolution of Respect affirm students' pledges to do their best to combat prejudice, promote respect for people and make commitments to creating communities of harmony, school officials said.
