Round Rock Shooting Leaves 1 Wounded: Police

ROUND ROCK, TX — Police were dispatched to the scene of a shooting on Tuesday afternoon, later finding a victim at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. along the 1500 block of Ashwood Court, police said via Twitter. Later, police added, a person suffering from a gunshot wound was admitted to a local hospital.

As detectives continued to investigate, they sought to assure the public there was no lingering threat. "The scene is secure," police wrote on Twitter. "The investigation is ongoing at this time."
