Round Rock Streets Blocked For Officer's Funeral Procession May 2

Wednesday morning funeral procession for Officer Charles Whites burial will cause traffic delays at various local arteries. See list below.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A funeral procession for fallen Round Rock Police Officer Charles Whites is scheduled on Wednesday, with traffic at various local streets expected to be delayed as a result.

The morning procession will transport the officers's body from Beck Funeral Home (15709 Ranch Road 620) to Shoreline Church (15201 Burnet Road) at 8 a.m. The procession should start between 11:30 a.m. and noon and last an hour, officials said.

  • Exit the church West on Shoreline Boulevard.
  • North on FM 1325 to Louis Henna Boulevard.
  • East on Louis Henna Boulevard to Northbound IH-35 frontage road.
  • North on Interstate 35 frontage road to Hester’s Crossing.
  • East on Hester’s Crossing to South Mays.
  • North on South Mays to HWY 79 (Palm Valley Blvd.).
  • West on Highway 79 to Chisholm Trail Road.
  • South on Chisholm Trail Road to RM 620.
  • West on RM 620 to Beck Funeral Home.

The Round Rock Police Department lobby and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, May 2, as a result of the funeral plans. In order for RRPD personnel to attend the services, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and DPS are assisting with calls for service and collisions, officials said.

Whites was injured after being struck by a car while directing traffic around an accident site along I-35 on Feb. 25. He succumbed to his injuries on April 27 during hospitalization.
