Second Public Hearing Scheduled For Proposed Round Rock Land Annexation
Council members are looking into enlarging the city boundaries by 114 acres by annexing property in NE corner of A.W. Grimes Boulevard.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A second public hearing on a proposed land annexation being mulled by city council members is scheduled for next week, officials said on Monday.
Round Rock officials said they want to institute annexation proceedings to enlarge and extend the boundary limits of the city to include approximately 114.47 acres of land out of the J. Mott Survey, Abstract No. 427, also described as Hickerson-Keith Annexation, located on the northeast corner of N. A.W. Grimes Blvd. and CR 186. They call it the Hickerson-Keith property.
The second public hearing on the matter is scheduled at 7 p.m. on Aug. 24 at the council chambers at City Hall located at 221 East Main Street. Residents with comments on the proposed annexation can sign up to be heard prior to the meeting. It's advised for those wishing to address council to arrive 15 minutes early to sign up.
