Shattered Door At Round Rock School Prompts Brief Lockdown

Shattered glass door at Double File Trail Elementary School led to 15-minute lockdown, but officials determined it wasn't caused by bullet.

ROUND ROCK, TX — A shattered door at a Round Rock elementary school led to a brief lock-down Friday afternoon, a school official said.

Round Rock ISD spokesman Corey Ryan told the Austin American-Statesman that Double File Trail Elementary School, 2400 Chandler Creek Rd., was locked down for about 15 minutes after a glass door at the school shattered.

But Ryan assured the door was likely shattered after high winds rather than by a bullet. Just to be sure as to the cause, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office reportedly were investigating the matter.
