ICYMI: Star-Gazing Event Scheduled In Round Rock
Free family-friendly event at Old Settlers Park on Saturday, Aug. 3, comes in the midst of ongoing summer meteor showers.

ROUND ROCK, TX — It's been said that the stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas, an assertion often followed by four clip claps. Round Rock residents can see for themselves next weekend during a star-gazing event.
On Saturday, Aug. 3, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Junior Ranger program will host a free star-gazing night out at Old Settlers Park. This event comes in the midst of summertime meteor showers that have astronomy fans all agog.
Participants to the Round Rock event will gather at Lakeview Pavilion next Saturday to gaze at the heavens while learning about the stars. It's an ideal family event, right before the kiddos have to return to school days later — yielding a chance for family togetherness with an educational opportunity for good measure.
