Student Disciplined for Bringing BB Gun to School

BB guns are not allowed within 300 feet of Round Rock schools

ROUND ROCK, TX - A student at Deerpark Middle School was disciplined for bringing a BB gun to school Monday.

Principle Sonya Hayes sent a letter home to parents stating a child displayed a BB gun to classmates, KEYE T.V. reported. The student reportedly passed the gun to another classmate to hide in their bag during school.

The administrative team has launched an investigation. The letter said bringing a BB gun within 300 feet of school property is a serious violation of the RRISD code of conduct.
