Susan Dell Inducted Into Texas Women's Hall Of Fame

Philanthropist honored for efforts in raising $100 million to assist in rebuilding communities devastated by natural disaster.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Susan Dell, a philanthropist and co-founder of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation — was inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame in Austin on Thursday.

Dell was specifically recognized for her work with the Rebuild Texas Fund, an organization committed to the recovery of those areas in Texas hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. To-date, the Rebuild Texas Fund has awarded nearly $67 million to support 186 community projects and impact some 1.2 million residents along the Texas Gulf Coast.

“With help from Gov. Abbot and the OneStar Foundation, we were able to launch the Rebuild Texas Fund before the rain had even stopped falling," Dell said. "Over 30,000 donors helped us raise $100 million to rebuild our communities. And the work of the Fund continues today.”
