Police Identify Victim, Search For Abducted Girls
Two suspicious deaths on New Year's Eve have sparked a national manhunt and a further investigation.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock police have identified the two victims of separate suspicious New Year's Eve deaths in town and are still looking for two abducted girls and a person of interest, according to reports.
Tonya Bates, 44, was found dead in the 2600 block of Leslie Court on New Year's Eve after police responded to a welfare check call made by a coworker, the Statesman reported. Police initially found nothing and left in the morning, but returned around 8:30 p.m. after Bates' boyfriend called, concerned that he couldn't contact her.
Bates' daughters, who are missing and pictured above, are Luluvioletta Mariposo Bandera-Magret, 7, about 4-foot-5 and 75 pounds with very curly brown hair, and Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith is 14, about 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, has dirty blonde hair, braces and a nose stud in her right nostril.

Terry Allen Miles, Bates' roommate, is the person of interest, police said in a press release. He's a white male, 6-foot-2, about 200 pounds and possibly has a beard. It is thought that he has Bandera-Magret and Griffith with him. Police initially believed he may have been en route to Louisiana in the car pictured below, but reports say he was possibly spotted in northern New Mexico or Colorado, according to the Statesman.

“Our concern and our focus is in bringing these two girls home safe,” Police Chief Allen Banks said, according to the Statesman. “We ask for the public’s help in locating these two young girls.”

In a separate case, police identified the victim as 37-year-old Joshua Armstrong, who was found dead in a residents in the 1100 block of Preserve Place around 8:30 p.m.
A family member of Armstrong's called the police, concerned for his safety, warning them of a possible suicide. Police investigated and found it to be a suspicious death.
