Texas Announces Football Schedule for 2016

See what the Longhorns will be up against next football season.

Year two of the Charlie Strong era comes to a close next week against Kansas.

Texas may not have played great football this year, but after the 2016 Texas football schedule was announced earlier this week fans will know exactly what to look forward to.

The Longhorns start the 2016 season with a tough opener at home against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. To round out a strong non-conference schedule, Texas will also play UTEP and California.

But the date every Longhorn fan should have circled on their calendar is Saturday Oct. 8., when the Longhorns face rival Oklahoma. Texas stunned the Sooners in this year’s rendition of the Red River Rivalry and will be looking to repeat.
