Three Round Rock Teens Killed After Colliding With Charter Bus In Spicewood
Teens were traveling along SH 71 when they were hit by a bus carrying members of the Huston-Tillotson basketball team who weren't injured.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Three Round Rock teenagers died early Sunday morning after the vehicle they were traveling in was struck by a chartered bus, according to reports.
Texas Department of Public Safety officials identified the driver and two others who died at the scene, all residents of Round Rock. The victims of the fatal collision were: June Mary Smith, 18, who was driving the car at the time of the wreck, and passengers Isabella Torres, 17, Taylor Nicole Mendez, 17, as KEYE reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Officials said the collision on SH 71 in western Travis County occurred just after midnight in Spicewood. The car in which the three teens were traveling had turned onto Fall Creek Road when it was hit by the chartered bus.

The driver of the bus was hospitalized as a precaution, but no injuries were reported among the vehicle's passengers. On their Facebook page, Huston-Tillotson University officials said the bus was carrying members of the school's baseball team as they were traveling back to Austin from Hobbs, New Mexico. None of the players or coaching staff were injured, according to the university.
According to the DPS, the vehicle in which the girls were traveling failed to yield when turning onto Highway 71, Fox 7 reported. Witnessess told DPS troopers the vehicle didn't have its headlights on at the time of the accident, the news station reported.
