Truck Lands Atop Car In Round Rock Wreck

ROUND ROCK, TX — This is not something you see every day. A Budget rental truck traveling at a high rate of speed ended up landing atop a parked Audi sedan in Round Rock on Thursday afternoon, according to reports.

The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. along the westbound SH 45 frontage road west of the Interstate 35 intersection, as CBS Austin reported. Police said the driver of the moving truck was speeding when the motorist lost control of the vehicle. The image of the overturned truck on top of the parked car belies the level of injuries sustained by the driver, who is expected to recover following medical treatment, according to officials.

It's unclear if the driver faces charges in the incident, as no further details were provided.
