Two Killed In Williamson County Helicopter Crash
Fiery crash occurred along County Road 346 near Granger after aircraft struck power lines before slamming into an empty field.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Two people were killed Tuesday afternoon in a helicopter crash in the northeast portion of Williamson County, officials confirmed.
The fiery crash occurred along County Road 346 near Granger, Texas, Texas Department of Public Safety officials confirmed. In a prepared statement, a spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration said the two victims were the sole occupants in the aircraft before it went down some 15 miles east of Georgetown Municipal Airport.
The FAA and Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody said the helicopter went down after hitting a power line before slamming into a field just before 1 p.m. The aircraft was described as a Hughes H369FF model.

The identities of those killed have not been disclosed.
