Two Teenagers Charged With Robbery In North Austin

NORTH AUSTIN, TX -- Police charged two teenagers in connection to a Sunday robbery in North Austin, officials said.

Court documents referenced by KVUE-TV reveal that police responded to the 1400 block of Royston Lane on Oct. 23 after receiving a call about a robbery. The victim of the robbery said a woman grabbed him by the neck at gunpoint while a man took his wallet, telephone and shoes.

Police later detained the two suspects, who they identified as Howard Haywood, 18, and Jermika Johnson, 17. According to an arrest affidavit, police found the stolen telephone and money in Johnson's pocket. The girl told police she ditched the wallet in a nearby ditch, and it was later retrieved with the victim's ID inside.
