Upcoming Family Open House To Showcase Williamson County Operations
Event will feature entertainment, food and refreshments but showcase important county functions, family safety, civic tips.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County's Precinct 1 offices will be hosting a Family Open House next month designed for residents to get to know their first responders and municipal workers up close and personal.
The open house is scheduled on April 17 at the Williamson County J.B. & Hallie Jester Annex, 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd. in Round Rock. Indoor and outdoor exhibits, refreshments, hamburgers, veggie burgers and hot dogs will be on tap. There also will be music provided by a DJ and by the Round Rock Fire Department's Mike Heard from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Also on hand will be Williamson County Commissioner Terry Cook, Constable Vinnie Cherrone, Justice of the Peace Dain Johnson, and Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes with information on what services their offices provide. In addition, there will be information or exhibits featuring:

- Fire, EMS, HazMat and Law Enforcement vehicles;
- Sheriff’s Office Bearcat & Canine Unit;
- Voter registration;
- Child car seat safety information & demonstrations;
- CPR – Hands-on 10 minute sessions;
- Williamson County Master Gardeners;
- Williamson County & Cities Health District Information on health services, immunizations, WIC program, food safety, mosquito management traps display;
- Texas A&M AgriLife Extension 4-H and Youth Development programs.
