WilCo Aims To Educate Voters On Proposed $447M Bond Issues
Residents can learn more about two bond packages up for November vote at upcoming open houses, including one in Round Rock.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — County residents will have the opportunity to attend upcoming open houses to learn more about a pair of propositions related to the issuance of public debt for financing $447 million in roads and parks projects.
Proposition A calls for the issuance of $412 million for roads work while Proposition B is for another $35 million for parks and recreation projects, county officials said. To help keep voters updated, the county will host host four open houses to provide the public with information on the upcoming road and park bond election, as well as provide voters with general election information.
The local informational session is scheduled Thursday, Oct. 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Anderson/Harrell Meeting Rooms at the J.B. and Hallie Jester Williamson County Annex, 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock

The dates, times and locations for the other open houses are:
- Tuesday, Sept. 24, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Meeting Room 226 on the second floor at the Williamson County Georgetown Annex, 100 Wilco Way, Georgetown.
- Thursday, Oct. 3, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the JP 2 Courtroom at the Williamson County Cedar Park Annex, 350 Discovery Blvd., Cedar Park.
- Tuesday, Oct. 15, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Deputy A.W. Grimes Law Enforcement Training Center, 8160 Chandler Blvd., Hutto.

The general election is scheduled on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early voting starts Oct. 21 and runs through Nov. 1. Early voting and Election Day Vote Center locations are available online at www.wilco.org/elections.
The last day to register for voting is Monday, Oct. 7, and all voter registration applications must be postmarked by that date. Requests for ballot by mail must be in the Elections Office by Oct. 25. The Elections Office is located at 301 S.E. Inner Loop, Ste. 104, in Georgetown. Voter registration applications and ballot by mail applications are available in the Elections Office or on-line at www.wilco.org/elections.
