WilCo Commissioners Schedule Special Session

Originally the date of a regular session before being canceled for Memorial Day, May 26 was set for the session by the county judge.

ROUND ROCK, TX β€” The Williamson County Commissioners Court has scheduled a special session next week, officials announced on Thursday.

The special session is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 26, online through a virtual meeting platform beginning at 9 a.m. The date originally was scheduled for a regular session before being canceled as part of the Memorial Day break, according to an emailed advisory, but county Judge Bill Gravell felt it necessary to call the special session after time-sensitive matters arose at the last meeting.

The agenda for the special session will be posted online on Friday (May 22) along with a recording of the meeting after the gathering at https://agenda.wilco.org/agenda_publish.cfm. Those wishing to watch the meeting live can visit http://www.wilco.org/livemeetings. Users should navigate to the far right tab under the header reading "Live." Once clicked, the live feed will begin to stream.

Any member of the public wishing to make a public comment or speak on an agenda item will do so at the Historic Courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown, Texas.

To make a public comment, enter the Historic Courthouse through the south doors and go through the proper screening protocols, including having your temperature taken before entering. Once residents are screened, they are directed to the second floor to fill out a public comment form and be called into the Commissioners Courtroom to make comments. Speakers will be recorded by a web camera and included in the virtual meeting, officials explained.
