WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County offices will open later than usual on Tuesday as a result of inclement weather, officials said late Monday.

In the wake of an Arctic cold front that could produce sleet and frozen rain — making roads potentially hazardous — government offices will open at 10 a.m., according to an advisory. All essential personnel, however, are expected to report for duty as assigned, officials said.

County officials urged residents to exercise extra caution when driving on Tuesday morning: "Please take care when driving," officials wrote. "Roads, especially elevated roadways and bridges, may be icy.
