WilCo Offices To Close For July 4 Observance

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — County offices will be closed on July 4, officials said.

All Williamson County offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in observance of the July 4th Independence Day holiday. Additionally, the Commissioners Court will not meet on Tuesday, July 2, and will resume their regular schedule on Tuesday, July 9, at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, 710 S. Main Street, in Georgetown.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS), 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open from noon to 4 p.m. and will have a $4 adoption special for adult dogs and cats from June 29 to July 7.

The office of Justice of the Peace Precinct 4, 211 W. 6th St. in Taylor, will be open with limited staff on July 5 to accept payments and court filings. The public may mail any correspondence or use the drop box located at the northeast corner facing 6th Street. Citation due dates during this time will be extended to July 8 by 5 p.m. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, July 8. Regular business hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is closed to the public on Wednesdays.
