WilCo Outlines Holiday 2019 Office Closures
County offices to close, commissioners' meetings to be postponed and Christmas tree recycling will take place at the landfill in Hutto.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX— Williamson County on Tuesday released its list of office closures for the upcoming holidays.
County offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 as well as on Jan. 1, 2020, for the New Year’s holiday. Moreover, members of the Williamson County Commissioners Court will not meet December 24 or Dec. 31, officials said. The first regularly scheduled meeting of 2020 will be on Tuesday, Jan. 7 starting at 9:30 a.m.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, Texas, will be open Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed on Christmas Day, and will be open New Year’s Eve 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed New Year’s Day, except for stray intake only.

The Williamson County Landfill, 600 Landfill Rd. in Hutto, will accept Christmas trees for recycling Dec. 26 through January 19, 2020, free of charge for Williamson County residents. Flocked trees are not accepted for recycling. The landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
