Williamson County Deputies Seize $103K From Driver Traveling To Mexico
Juan Pablo Chavarria-Rodriguez, 57, was initially stopped for following too closely before the money was found hidden inside his vehicle.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX – Deputies this week seized more than $103,000 from a vehicle during a routine traffic stop, officials said.
The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said that on Wednesday at around 1 p.m., a 2011 Nissan Maxima was stopped while traveling southbound on Interstate 35 in Georgetown for following too closely. The driver and sole occupant was identified as Juan Pablo Chavarria-Rodriguez, 57.
During the traffic stop, deputies sensed the driver was being deceptive. After securing a verbal consent to search the vehicle, deputies found $103,915 in cash inside a front quarter panel of the vehicle. The driver was traveling from Dallas to Mexico, officials said.

Rodriguez was charged with money laundering before being booked into the Williamson County Jail, sheriff's officials said.
