Williamson County Implements Burn Ban
Not to exceed 90 days, order prohibits burning combustible material outdoors with a fine of $500 for violators.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Williamson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday implemented a burn ban for at least the next 90 days, officials said.
The burn ban designed to last no longer than 90 days will be lifted by County Judge Dan A. Gattis when conditions improve, according to the county.
A violation of the order occurs when a person burns any combustible material outside of an enclosure which serves to contain all flames and/or sparks, or orders such burning by others, county officials explained. The burn ban prohibits the burning of household yard waste, such as leaves, grass, brush and other yard trimmings.
