Williamson County Officials Accept Nearly Half-A-Million Dollars From Feds For Flood-Related Repairs
The money will be be used to repair roads, bridges, culverts, parks and trails.

Williamson County, TX -- Commissioners members accepted federal funding this week that will aid in repairing property damaged during torrential rains last month, according to a published report.
The Round Rock Leader reported that repair work to roads, bridges, culverts, parks and trails will cost $464,971,with the Federal Emergency Management Agencyfooting 75 percent, or $348,728, of the total cost. The county will pay the balance of $116,242.
May was the wettest month in Texas history, wreaking havoc on property statewide. Texas Gov. Greg Abbotthas, on several occasions, sought -- and secured -- emergency funding from President Obama to assist residents impacted by flooding.
