WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX -- The county's purchasing department received the 2016 Achievement of Excellence in Public Procurement award by the National Procurement Institute, officials said.

“The Achievement of Excellence in Public Procurement Award is a great honor and is not easily achieved," noted Max Bricka of the Williamson County Purchasing Department. "This year, only 28 other counties in Texas were recognized as recipients of this award. It truly represents the collective efforts of everyone included in the purchasing cycle across Williamson county. Without the partnership of our client departments, support from the Commissioners Court, and continuous involvement from our vendors then this award would be unachievable."
