Williamson County Sheriff's Office Deputy Arrested

On the force since 2005, now-suspended Deputy Jack Danford charged with resisting arrest, public intoxication, injury to child.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX ― A Williamson County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested last weekend for resisting arrest and public intoxication, officials confirmed.

The sheriff's office said Deputy Jack Danford was arrested by the Austin Police Department at Oakwood BBQ, 307 E. Braker Lane, on Saturday, March 3. In addition to the aforementioned charges, the deputy also was charged with injury to a child, which is a third-degree felony.

Danford, who started working at the sheriff's office on Nov. 4, 2005, has been indefinitely suspended from the sheriff's office, officials said. "No further comments will be make at this point," officials added.
