Woman Pleads Guilty In 2014 Fatal Shooting Of Round Rock Man
Lindsey Hanks, 25, pleads guilty to murder charge in death of Jerrod Stanford, 33, in his Chandler Crossing home.
ROUND ROCK, TX — A woman this week pleaded guilty in the fatal shooting of a Round Rock man three years ago, according to a published report.
Lindsey Hanks, 25, on Tuesday pleaded guilty to a capital murder charge in the shooting death of Jerrod Stanford, 33, at his Round Rock home on Chandler Crossing in September 2014, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Also facing a capital murder charge is Da Ryan Simms, 24, for allegedly having helped Hanks carry out the slaying, according to the report. His jury trial is scheduled January 2018.

During the trial, a friend of the deceased man said he had offered Hans a room to rent at his house after having met her at Third Base Sports Bar in Round Rock at 3107 S. Interstate 35, according to the report. According to an arrest affidavit referenced by the Statesman, Hanks worked as a prostitute.
According to court documents, Stanford's credit cards, driver's license and Social Security card were found in the trunk of Hanks' car, and Simms' fingerprint was found near the dead man's body, the Statesman reported. Additionally Simms was said to be in possession of one of Stanford's guns at the time of his arrest.
