• EOC meeting teases new facility and flood warning systems progress (uvaldeleadernews.com) — Sabinal residents can expect a new outdoor warning siren behind City Hall as part of Uvalde County's upgraded flood and emergency alert systems. Officials also detailed a countywide mass notification system and plans for a larger emergency operations center, aiming to improve communication and response during floods, tornadoes, and other crises that directly affect Sabinal and surrounding communities.
   

• Lobos place fourth, Coyotes eighth in Belman Classic (uvaldeleadernews.com) — Sabinal's cross country teams lined up against Uvalde and other regional schools at the Pete Belman Classic, with Sabinal's girls and boys squads finishing behind the Lobos and Coyotes in their respective divisions. The meet featured dozens of runners and highlighted individual performances, while also setting the stage for upcoming races in Eagle Pass, Carrizo Springs, and the District 28-4A meet in Uvalde.
