(theautowire.com) — A San Leon–area classic car restoration shop owner is serving a 60-year prison sentence after a Galveston County jury found he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from customers, and his appeal now challenges how those losses were added together. The case, built on unfinished and disputed restoration jobs around San Leon and nearby communities, could see his conviction reduced if appellate judges decide many complaints were contract disputes rather than criminal theft.
