  3. After being on strike since September of last year due to proposed cutting from management, the union representing the 72 San Antonio Symphony musicians is proposing a new offer to the San Antonio Symphony "that would return them to the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts." Violinist Mary Ellen Goree said, "Our proposal is that we return to the stage under the terms as they are in the current CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) which was ratified by both sides in 2019." According to her, "the proposal represents between a 35-50 percent concession on the part of the musicians, depending on whether the symphony is able to reschedule concerts." She added, "The musicians aren't seeking reinstatement of back pay... it's a very generous offer." According to TPR, "in a statement, symphony management said it can't comment on the proposal."
