DHS signs $17.3M contract to convert east-side San Antonio warehouse into ICE facility, online records say (kens5.com) — A $17.3 million federal contract will convert a massive warehouse on San Antonio's east side into an ICE processing and detention facility, with capacity for 1,000 to 1,500 people. The GardaWorld-run site on SE Loop 410 is slated to operate through at least August 2027, following months of questions from local leaders about the building's intended use.
