Animal Care Services Hosts Free Adoptions In San Antonio
Would-be pet parents can get to know their new companion at the shelter's 15-acre campus with multiple play yards.

With many residents practicing social distancing at home, Animal Care Services would like to suggest a companion animal…and this weekend is the perfect time to find a new stay-at-home buddy! Animal Care Services has teamed up with the Cathy Kangas Foundation for Animals and PRAI Beauty for fee-waived adoptions Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Free the Shelters will offer free adoptions and fostering incentives on hundreds of pets in need in hopes the community can empty the Animal Care Services kennels. In support of social distancing guidelines, ACS has implemented “kennel-side service” for Free the Shelters featuring:

Would be pet parents can get to know their new companion at the shelter’s fifteen acre campus with multiple play yards. Training for life is available for all dogs adopted from Animal Care Services and each pet will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. For residents interested in temporarily housing a pet in ACS’ “shelter without walls,” foster applications will also be processed on site throughout the event. ACS is located at 4710 State Highway 151. Shelter hours run 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. this weekend. Online adoption and foster applications can be found at www.saacs.net.
