SAN ANTONIO (August 2, 2021) – Today, the City of San Antonio launched a new City Council agenda platform, which allows residents to engage with their elected officials more easily. The new agenda platform is the first element of the City’s new resident-centric public participation platform, the SASpeakUp portal. The portal will allow residents to engage with City agendas, complete surveys, view a comprehensive city-wide events calendar, apply for boards and commissions, as well as create a profile to register for updates and communications from City channels.

“We hope to increase participation in City meetings and initiatives through the new SASpeakUp portal,” said City Manager Erik Walsh. “This system was designed with our residents in mind and will allow them to be part of the City’s processes when it’s most convenient to them. I’d like to commend the Information Technology Services Department, Government and Public Affairs, the Office of the City Clerk and the various departments that have collaborated on this effort.”
