City of San Antonio Invites Residents To Attend SA Climate Ready Forum On Friday, Dec. 4
Virtual event to feature topics such as climate equity, urban biodiversity, energy efficiency

SAN ANTONIO– This week, the City of San Antonio’s Office of Sustainability will host the virtual SA Climate Ready Forum, a celebration of the one-year anniversary of the City of San Antonio's first Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. The event kicks off on Friday, Dec. 4 online and on social media.

The forum will launch with a recorded statement by Mayor Ron Nirenberg restating San Antonio’s commitment to climate action and vision for the future, followed by a series of short videos that attendees may watch at their own pace. Projects and goals highlighted throughout the event include: the American Cities Climate Challenge; climate equity featuring District 7 Councilwoman Ana Sandoval; local food; urban biodiversity; energy efficiency; youth engagement; Safer Streets; the Living Heritage Trades Academy featuring District 3 Councilwoman Rebecca Viagran and more. At the end of the day, the Office of Sustainability will hold a Town Hall to answer questions from the public.

The Mayor’s Welcome, Conversation about San Antonio's Path to Carbon Neutrality and the American Cities Climate Challenge, as well as the Town Hall will also be broadcast through Facebook (facebook.com/COSAOfficeofSustainability).
