SAN ANTONIO (August 5, 2021) — McCreless Branch Library service will be temporarily relocated to allow for the final phase of work related to the library’s 2017-2022 Bond renovation project. Beginning in August, construction will address building work related to the McCreless Branch Library’s foundation, after which time the building’s interior and exterior will be completed. The last day for library services at McCreless Branch Library will be August 14. Interim library service will begin nearby at Southside Lions Community Center, 3100 Hiawatha St, on Tuesday, August 17.
“McCreless Branch Library plays an integral role in the District 3 community,” said Councilwoman Phyllis Viagran. “I’m grateful San Antonio Public Library has partnered with Parks and Recreation to allow nearby community members access to essential library services while construction is completed.
