Here are the top stories today in San Antonio:
- The Museo del Westside, "a project of the Esperanza Peace & Justice Center," is finding "a way to capture the unique stories and culture of the historic West Side." The new museum located in the Rinconcito de Esperanza at 816 S. Colorado Street, formerly the Ruben's Icehouse building, is gathering and displaying "photos, stories, and artifacts that otherwise may have been lost to time or indifference." Graciela Sánchez, Director of Esperanza Peace & Justice Center, said, "It's a participatory museum. She added, "They may not have a PhD behind their name, but they have a lot of experience and knowledge that you can't find in books right now, that you can't find in documentaries because they're not made. So, we have to be the ones that create them." To share your story to be included in the museum, please visit their website or call 210-228-0201. For further information visit: (Texas Public Radio)

- Construction of the new Make Ready Market food hall is scheduled to begin soon and is "expected to open this winter as the dynamic center of the growing neighborhood" at the San Antonio River Walk. The new venue will be located at 203 W. 8th Street, which was the former Cavender Cadillac dealership "where 'made ready' cars were delivered to receive their final clean and polish." When the new building is finished, it will now "be a gathering spot serving 'made ready' food from vendors like Mila Coffee and Pouring with Heart."
