Five Harmony School of Science-San Antonio Students Advance to State Science Fair

Five students from Harmony School of Science-San Antonio are advancing to the 2026 Texas Science and Engineering Fair after earning top honors at the Alamo Regional Science and Engineering Fair.

The regional competition was held Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. More than 500 middle and high school students from across the Alamo region qualified to compete after advancing through campus and district science fairs.

Students representing Harmony School of Science-San Antonio at the state competition are Rakin Tahnan, a sixth-grade student; Griffin Roberts, a seventh-grade student; Vincenzo Squadrito, a seventh-grade student; and Puneet Gugloth and Shashanth Gugloth, eighth-grade students.

Puneet Gugloth and Shashanth Gugloth advanced with their project, “Speaking With Artificial Intelligence,” which explores the capabilities and applications of artificial intelligence technology. Reflecting on their achievement, the students said, “We’re so excited and proud to be heading to the State Science Fair. We worked extremely hard, put in all the effort, and now get to represent our school. All our experimenting, hard work, and dedication really paid off.”

The 2026 Texas Science and Engineering Fair will be held March 27-28, 2026, in College Station at Texas A&M University.
