Here are the top stories today in San Antonio:

  1. Thanksgiving is a day to gather with family to give thanks and enjoy some good holiday cooking, however, there are many families in need who cannot afford a holiday meal. This Thanksgiving, there are several places in town where San Antonians can give and receive food assistance. One such place is the San Antonio Food Bank which is requesting food donations, including turkeys, as they are running short. You can make your donation at any "Security Service Federal Credit Union branch or at the red barrels outside Goodwill stores or H-E-B grocery stories." For a list of other places and food pantries, as well as locations and days and times when you can help, please visit: (Texas Public Radio)
  2. The Tobin Center will be quiet this holiday season, as San Antonio musicians are on strike. Second Principal Violinist Mary Ellen Goree said "We are on strike because that's the only path we see going forward that can possibly result in a professional orchestra." The San Antonio Symphony Union and the Symphony Society "are charging each other with bad faith bargaining and now it's up to the National Labor Relations Board to decide what happens next." David Van OS, attorney for the Musicians of the San Antonio Symphony Union said "They are just demanding the way things have to be, and their own demands are the only thing they will agree too." To read more about the details on the case, visit: (KENS5.com)
  3. Auditions for "Einstein Is Wrong about Everything" will be held at Overtime Theater on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 27 and Nov. 28, from noon-3 p.m. The venue is located at 5409 Bandera Road. All ages and physicality types are needed and "cold reading and sides will be available" but no monologues are needed. For more details, please visit: (ctxlivetheatre.com)
  4. David Elder from KSAT visited local eateries around town where they serve delicious dishes, including Giant Garlic Knots, Argentian Grilling and Insane Burgers! The show Texas Eats features his visits to the places that serve those and many more dishes that will make your mouth water! Watch the show on Saturdays at 10 a.m. on KSAT 12, KSAT.com and KSAT's streaming app. You can also follow Texas Eats on Facebook and Instagram. For more details, visit: (KSAT San Antonio)
  5. Country music legend Willie Nelson will perform in San Antonio next year, at the Majestic Theatre, located at 224 E.
