- San Antonio's Hotel Emma, located at 136 E Grayson St., was ranked "the No. 7 top hotel in the U.S. and the No. 1 Texas property" on "U.S. News & World Report's new list of the best hotels in the country." The 146-room hotel, which opened in 2015, is situated right on the San Antonio Riverwalk, and it's often referred to as "the crown jewel of San Antonio's Pearl district." According to U.S. News, "Hotel Emma stands out among travelers for its cool culture. This is largely brought on by the hotel's history as a former brewery," as the property was previously "the largest brewery in Texas." - Maple Street Biscuit Co. is coming soon to San Antonio's Quarry Village and Alamo Ranch areas, and although the opening dates are not available yet, "renovations at both locations are underway." The chain restaurant business was founded in 2012 by Scott Moore and Guy Evans in Florida, but it's now based in Tennessee and is owned by Cracker Barrel. The two San Antonio venues will be located at 290 E Basse and 10650 Culebra Road. Their menus will feature biscuits topped with "fried chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, gravy, and more." They will also serve "salads, waffles, grit bowls, and salads." For more details visit: (mySanAntonio.com)
