- On Monday, May 9, KTSA — "the longest-operating radio station in San Antonio" — is celebrating its 100th year anniversary! Read about the station's history and enjoy a beautiful video about the station by visiting: (550 KTSA)
- Andy's Frozen Custard is coming to The Rim, just in time for the warm weather! The "Missouri-based frozen dessert chain" location at 17927 West IH-10 will debut on Monday, May 11. The local venue will offer "treats on the go" either through drive-thru or at "a walk-up window for wandering shoppers." Normally frozen custard is made with egg yolks to create "a denser, creamier texture, but the new local shop "adds a wallop of butterfat and a creepingly slow churn time for an even more decadent indulgence." - 27-year-old Chelsey Eckols died, and her friend is in critical condition after they were both shot at the Judson Meadow Apartments located off Judson Road near Lookout Road. The incident happened on Sunday, March 27, when both women were sitting in Eckols' car and "several gunmen opened fire on the vehicle" and then "drove off in a silver sedan." - A local man named Pablo lost his wedding ring at the Joint Base San Antonio Air Show held on Saturday, April 23. He posted a message on Twitter "to see if anyone has seen his wedding 'ring' that he says fell off his hand while he was at the show."
