A proposed "downtown redevelopment project" called the Link would connect two San Antonio waterways, San Pedro Creek and the San Antonio River, and "would include new housing, restaurants and retail space for residents." According to her mother, Claudia Mobley, "her daughter said she was running late for work, but she still though it was strange that Powell left in such a hurry." Apparently, she "called the office where she works as a paralegal telling them she would be late, but she never showed to work." For more on this story go to: (mySA)

The fire started in the back of the house, but "firefighters were able to get control of the flames in roughly 20 minutes.
