Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:

  1. Starting Thursday, March 31, several residential streets near North Saint Mary's will be closed from 7 p.m.-2 a.m. until Sunday, April 3. Per the San Antonio Police Department, the "effort is part of a traffic study that will be conducted to address parking and traffic concerns for residents of the Tobin Hill Neighborhood Association." According to District 1 Councilman Mario Bravo, "the goal is to see if limited access to residential streets will work for the residents who have complained about rowdy locals heading back to their cars from bars and night clubs." He said, "I think there could be some impact on businesses." He added that, however, "the barricades are not permanent, but it's an opportunity for people to see what this would look like, and for them to give us input." For more details on this study please visit: (mySA)
  2. Local pet owners will be happy to know that a new dog-grooming boutique is now open on the north part of downtown! The luxury boutique called "Petbar" is located at 5231 Broadway St. and offers grooming, washing and "taxi services to get canines to and from their appointments." Monthly memberships are also offered, "which include unlimited baths and brushing for a monthly fee, based on the size of the dog, from small — under 10 pounds — to those over 80 pounds." The boutique is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. If you're going in for a wash, please schedule your appointment 30 minutes before closing time. Make an appointment on their website here and visit: (San Antonio Current)
  3. Daddy Yankee, better known as the "King of Reggaetón," recently announced that he was retiring and to say farewell, he is giving his last tour called "La Ultima Vuelta" (The Last Round) and will make a stop in San Antonio. That performance will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at the AT&T Center, located at 1 AT&T Center Parkway, and tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster.com and AT&TCenter.com. Presale ticket sales will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 1 using the code "LASTTURN," and general tickets will be sold starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 4."
