Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:
- The historical city of "San Antonio was established in 1718, and 13 years later, it became the first chartered civil settlement in present-day Texas." Since then, lots of things have changed in the Alamo City, but "many of its oldest features" still exist. For a list with details of "the oldest things in San Antonio," please visit: (San Antonio Current)
- Fox News journalist Benjamin Hall was injured in Ukraine last week "when his vehicle was hit by incoming fire outside Kyiv." At that time, he "was transferred from Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany to Brooke Army Medical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston." He is now recovering from "his injuries and multiple surgeries" at a hospital in San Antonio. Suzanne Scott, FOX News Media CEO, said, ""Please continue to keep him in your prayers and we will provide further updates as needed." For further details visit: (550 KTSA)
- This week, San Antonio's Lone Star Beer debuted a new clothing line called the "Crawdillo Club," which "features the brand's iconic armadillo mascot wrestling a Lone Star beer away from a crawfish." Fort Worth-based Morgan Mercantile produced the clothing line, which features "a limited one-time print T-shirt, ball cap, bandana and shop rag, all available online now until they sell out." Daniel Crawford, Lone Star senior brand manager, said, "It's not the beginning of spring until you get invited to a backyard boil or see crawfish for sale at a local grocer." He added, "We wanted to celebrate this time of year by leaning into this beloved delicacy with a merch capsule and event series." (San Antonio Current)

From my notebook:
- "A neighbor in Stonefield highly recommends Panasian Cafe, a small local eatery located at 9503 Bandera Road, on the corner of Bandera and Braun. According to the neighbor, the quality of their dishes is consistent, and the portions are always very generous. Better yet, the owners have never raised their prices all throughout the pandemic. Please support this small business so that they will not be forced to close in the near future due to low customer business." (Nextdoor)
