- Where's the pumpkin? Although many pumpkin patches in San Antonio are closing, there is one pumpkin patch that is still open. Murphy's Pumpkin Patch located at 2351 Goliad Road will remain open, even after Halloween. Pumpkins start at $3 each with free admission and parking to the pumpkin patch, but even if you don't buy a pumpkin, you can still take pictures and play games with the family! - This Halloween weekend, older witches and goblins will have a "costumed night on the town," as "five San Antonio bars will be overrun with booze — and boos —" for all to enjoy! There will be live music, costume contests, cash prizes, and plenty of drinking and dancing! Happy and Safe Halloween to all! - Laredo Taco Company will be making a stop in San Antonio next week, and there will be free tacos for all! Mando Rayo, taco journalist and TV personality from the show "United Tacos of America," will film the "Made Right Here Road Trip" episode at Islla Street Brewing, located at 11911 Crosswinds Way. The screening will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 7-9 p.m. Locals will get a chance to participate in this outdoor family-friendly event, and there will be tacos and door prizes for all. - What started out as a ceviche and delivery service in 2017 is now a San Antonio birria authority, with a new brick-and-mortar location opening up soon at 700 E. Sonterra Blvd. in Stone Oak. Owners Joshua and Martha Palacios will officially up El Remedio Restaurant in January 2022. The menu will feature "mariscos" (seafood) and a new sushi menu with 10 types of rolls made with chicken, beef, shrimp, crab, and some of them with cheese. - Generous San Antonians cowboyed up to end cancer at the 43rd annual San Antonio Cattle Baron's Gala, held at the Estancia del Norte Hotel. The Western-themed event was presented by the Will Smith Foundation and featured "live country music, dancing, gourmet Tex-Mex cuisine, an open bar, live and silent auctions, midway games, and mechanical bull riding."
