San Antonio (February 8, 2021) – Airports Council International (ACI) World widely considered the leading trade association in the airport and aviation industry, revealed San Antonio International Airport (SAT) has earned recognition in ACI’s World’s Voice of the Customer initiative.

This initiative recognizes airports that continued to prioritize customers and remained committed to ensuring that their voices were heard during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. SAT made significant efforts in gathering passenger feedback through ACI’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program. This was done to better understand customer needs. The information gathered will inform SAT’s commitment to delivering a superior customer experience even under trying circumstances.

“The Voice of the Customer recognition celebrates the commitment of airports that continued listening to passengers and adapting processes and procedures to meet changing expectations of customer experience in response to COVID-19,” said Luis Felipe de Oliveira, Director General, ACI World. “As our industry works towards recovery, airports that listen to and prioritize the needs and expectations of customers will be better placed to respond.”

This is a new recognition, separate from the ASQ Awards but supported by ASQ and industry partner Amadeus. Amadeus supports airports in improving travel experiences for passengers all over the world and continuing strategic partnerships at a time when it has never been more important for airports to listen to the voice of customers.

“We are excited to share this accolade that recognizes our continued commitment to our customers.” said San Antonio Airport System Director of Airports, Jesus H. Saenz, Jr. IAP. “And we will continue to enhance our procedures and maintain excellence for our customers.”
