Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:
- The San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) Transportation Department held its second annual Black History Potluck Lunch at its bus depot on Wednesday, Feb. 23. During the event, they launched a museum which highlights Black leaders with SAISD schools named after them "or who are connected in some way to transportation." The museum's theme is "Rolling with the Best!" and it was named after Tina Turner's "Simply the Best" album. The venue is located in the SAISD Transportation facility at 418 Roland Road, and is open now until Monday, Feb. 28 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information visit: (Press Release Desk)
- On Wednesday, Feb. 23, a new Tejano station called "La Ley" on 95.7 FM was introduced in the Alamo City. The station which previously "focused on regional Mexican music, will now be dedicated to Tejano, showcasing San Antonio's beloved icons as well as new talent." Alfonso Flores, Alpha Media program director said, "I'm very excited and happy to bring back Tejano music on an FM radio station to the people of San Antonio."
