SAN ANTONIO (March 29, 2021) – The City of San Antonio Planning Department, will conduct four virtual community meetings, via Zoom, for the Bandera Road Corridor Plan.

Monday, March 29, 2021
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 30, 2021
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 31, 2021
6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, April 3, 2021
12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

The Bandera Road Corridor Plan, launched in 2019, is the first corridor plan developed under the guidance of the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted in 2016 by City Council. The planning process and community outreach effort will culminate in the development of a multi-modal transportation, future land use, economic development, and urban design plan for the Bandera Road Corridor, from I-410 to Loop 1604.

During these virtual meetings, the City will present an overview of the plan’s scope and goals, and community members will have an opportunity to discuss and share their feedback on neighborhood connectivity, development standards and land use along Bandera Road.

“Anyone who lives, works, or travels along Bandera Road, especially during rush hour, understands the importance of this effort.” said Councilwoman Ana E. Sandoval. “These virtual meetings are a great opportunity for us to share our progress and come together as a community to discuss the future of the Bandera Road Corridor.”

“Community members, business owners, and stakeholders are invited to participate virtually and engage in the process to improve the Bandera Road Corridor,” said Rudy Niño, Jr, AICP, Assistant Director of the Planning Department. “The feedback and comments of those who live and work on or near Bandera Road are essential to our success in planning for the future of the corridor.”

Opportunities to provide input for the corridor will be available during the meeting, through social media, and from a dedicated online survey platform.
