San Antonio Airport System Hosts Virtual Public Meetings To Discuss Its Strategic Development Plan

SAN ANTONIO– The San Antonio Airport System (SAAS) is hosting a series of Strategic Development Plan virtual meetings to recap the progress to date and to update the community on the status of the airport planning alternatives being considered to accommodate growth at San Antonio International Airport over the next 20 years.

Three identical virtual meetings will be held next week for community members, including two meetings in English and one meeting in Spanish.

“It is imperative that the airport prepares for future growth and also involves the community in the process,” said Jesus H. Saenz, Jr., Director of Airports, San Antonio Airport System. Prior to the pandemic more than 10 million passengers flew through SAT each year.

The meetings will be held on Tuesday, February 9 at 2pm and 6pm in English and on Thursday, February 11 at 5:30pm in Spanish. The deadline to register for these events is Monday, February 8 at 5pm.

Participants are invited to submit questions prior to the meeting and the responses will be discussed during the virtual meeting.
