San Antonio Chamber Of Commerce: Economic Development Council Hosts New Visit SA CEO, City Director

The Chamber Economic Development Council met in person at Velocity TX on Tuesday, August 24. The Council hosted Marc Anderson, new CEO of Visit San Antonio, who presented the Visit San Antonio 100-day plan and engaged in an open discussion with attendees, answering questions and sharing his own journey to San Antonio. Brenda Hicks-Sorensen, the new City of San Antonio Economic Development Department Director, also shared her recent move to our beautiful city as well as her plans for the economic growth and stability of San Antonio, as we continue to navigate the effects of this global pandemic.

For next month’s council meeting, we look forward to hearing about the changing face of energy in the region, hoping to better understand how the local energy industry is navigating this rapidly changing landscape. Our council members continue to search for ways to work together to build a comprehensive approach to economic development.
